Title: Determination of urinary transferrin and β_2-microglobulin of newborns with asphyxia
Abstract: Aim:To observe the changes of the Urinary Transferrin(TRF)and β2-microglobulin(β2-MG)of the newborn with asphyxia. Methods:A Total of 51 cases of newborns with asphyxia and 206 cases of normal infants were subjected to measure TRF and β2-MG in the first urine and 24 hours after birth.Urine nitrogen(BUN)and creatinine(Cr)were also detected at the same time in asphyxia group. Results:Abnormal rates and the levels of urine TRF and β2-MG in asphyxia group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P0.05).The levels and the abnormal rates of urine TRF and β2-MG in the mild asphyxia group were lower than those of the severe asphyxia group, but there was no significant difference in the second time(P0.05).Conclusion:Urine TRF and β2-MG were sensitive indicators in the reflection of early neonatal asphyxia glomerular and tubular function.
