Title: Identification and Screening of Cold Endurance of the Descendants after Introducing the DNA of Wild Rice
Abstract: [Objective] The research aimed to study cold endurance of descendants by main growth variety in Ningxia Province of Ningjing No.16 and Ningjing No.23 after introducing the DNA of common wild rice genome,and screen out the better cold endurance descendants,to provide the idioplasmic resource and method for the breeding of rice cold endurance.[Method] The descendants were taken as the test materials,filtrate cold endurance during germinating stage,bud stage and seedling stage were identified with the identification indices of the germination percentage during germinating stage,and the survival rate during bud stage,withered percentage and plant height,chlorophyll content and chlorophyll fluorescence parameter during seedling stage were measured.[Result] The results showed that under the stress of low temperature,the germination percentages and the survival rates of rice materials were decreased,but the material of 05D4-92,05D4-160 and 05D4-161 were significantly higher than those of their receptors and the other materials,and the withered percentages during seedling stage were lower than those of their receptors.Furthermore,the plant height,plant dry weight,chlorophyll content and chlorophyll fluorescence parameter of 05D4-92,05D4-160 and 05D4-161 were less influenced by low temperature.[Conclusion] The cold endurance of test materials during germinating stage,bud stage and seedling stage showed similar change law,and 05D4-92,05D4-160 and 05D4-161 had better cold endurance.
