Title: The change of high-density lipoprotein and its subclasses in patient with coronary heart disease
Abstract: Objective To observe the high-density lipoprotein(HDL) and its subclasses in patientrs with coronary heart disease(CHD),cerebral infarction and diabetes mellitus(DM). Methods The levels of routine lipid such as total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG), HDL,low-density lipoprotein(LDL),apolipoprotein A-Ⅰ(apo A-Ⅰ),apolipoprotein B 100(apo B 100),lipopretein(a),fasting plasma glucose, post prandial glucose,HDL2,HDL3 were determined and HDL2/HDL% was calulated in 202 CHD patients(121 undergoing coronary argiography),28 patients with cerebral infarction,31 patients with 2 type DM. Results The levels of HDL,HDL2 and HDL2/HDL(%) were significantly decreased in patient with CHD and cerebral infarction, and HDL3 was significantly increased in patient with 2 type DM.The levels of HDL,HDL2 in coronary angiography positive group were significance lower than the coronary angiography negative group. In the 80 CHD patients with normal lipid(TG2.2 mmol/L,TC5.7 mmol/L) and examined by coronary angiography, while TG was higher,HDL2 was lower step by step according to the number of the stenosis arteries. The level of HDL3 in patient with routine lipid normal and abnormal glucose than the patients with normal glucose, and the age of patient with routine lipid normal and abnormal glucose tolerance was older. Conclusions The decrease of HDL level in patient with CHD may be mostly due to the decrease of the larger HDL2 subclass.
