Title: Analysis of the curative effect of captopril and spironolactone on heart failure
Abstract: Objective To evaluate the curative effect of aniotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors(ACEI) plus aldosterone antagonists on heart failure(HF).Methods In light of a double blind and random way,116 patients with HF who received digitalis, potassium depletion diuretics such as dihyrochlorothiazide, furosemide and low dosage betaloc(metoprolol) were divided into therapeutic and control groups.Patients in therapeutic group(56 cases) were administrated captopril and antistemne, while the controls(60 cases) were given isosorbide and triamterene. The course of treatment was 8 weeks in both groups. All cases accepted the measurement of colorful Doppler echocardiography before and after treatment.Data of the left ventricular end-diostolic diameter(LVEDD),the left ventricular end-systolic diameter(LVESD) and ejection fraction(EF) were collected, and the improvement of heart function was compared. Results Both mothods of treatment were effective, whereas the indieators including LVEDD(P0.01) and EF(P0.05) were more significantly improved in therapeutic group than those in the control groups. The treatment effects in therapeutic and control groups were 93% and 80%,respectively.Conclusion The treatment with captopril and antistemne was more effective than isosorbide plus triamterene in patients with HF.
