Title: The Portal Hypertension:3D Dynamic Contrast-Enhanced Magnetic Resonance Angiography
Abstract: Objective To investigate the applied value of 3D dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance angiography (3D CE-MRA),in evaluating the portal venous system and blood flow changes in portal hypertension. Methods Sixty patients with portal hypertension underwent 3D MRA and 2D-MRA of the portal venous system examinations using GE 1.5T twin speed MR machine and the MRA images were analyzed retrospectively. Results MRA images showed portal venous system with narrow and slender in 18 cases, obstruction and cavernous transformation in 11,case esophageal varices in 43, narrowing and obstruction of the inferior vena cava in 11 cases, azygos vein and hemiazygos vein in 4 and umbilical vein in 4 opened. Conclusion 3D-MRA is quite accurate in evaluating portal venous system and blood flow changes of portal hypertension.
