Tracheotomy intubation through mouth and left anterior thoracotomy through 3,4 intercostal region were performed. Left anterior descending coronary artery was ligated. Then electrocardiogram change, hemodynamics and left ventricular function were observed and measured in eight weeks.Result:Rat mortality was 11.82% in 24 hours after operation. The survival rate was 80.65% beyond 8 weeks.Compared with the sham-operated group, the left ventricular(LV)weight(LVW),LV end diastolic pressure(LVEDP)and heart rate(HR)were all significantly increased, while blood pressure(BP), LV systolic pressure(LVSP), the left ventricular pressure maximal rate of rise and fall (±dp/dtmax ) and their adjustment by LVSP(±dp/dtmax/LVSP) were significantly decreased(P0.05) in operated group. Conclusion: The model construction method is simple, effective, and repeatable, which may be important for research of left ventricular remodeling post myocardial infarction.Read More
