Abstract:Objective To develop a steady and reproducible myocardial infarction(MI) model in rats.Methods SD rats were endotracheal incubated through mouth and ventilator-assisted breathing,the left anterior des...Objective To develop a steady and reproducible myocardial infarction(MI) model in rats.Methods SD rats were endotracheal incubated through mouth and ventilator-assisted breathing,the left anterior descending coronary artery was ligated.Echocardiogram,haemodynamics and histopathology were detected twenty-eight days after ligation.Results Survival rate of the rat model was 60%.LVEF of the AMI group decreased significantly(P 0.01).Compared with the sham group,LVSP and ± dp /dt of the AMI group decreased significantly(P 0.05,P 0.01),but the LVEDP of the AMI rat increased significantly(P 0.01).Histopathology study could seen the scar and the proliferation of the fibrous tissue.Conclusions This experiment provids an easy way to establish the MI model,which is reproducible and credible.Read More
