Title: Expression of BP1 gene in thyroid pappilary carcinoma and its clinical significance
Abstract: Objective To investigate the relationship between the expression of BP1 protein and oncogenesis and the development of thyroid pappilary carcinoma. Methods Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of BP1 protein and cyclineD1 protein in 51cases of thyroid pappilary carcinoma tissues and 22 cases of normal thyroid pappilary tissues. Results ①BP1 protein expressed at extremely low level in normal thyroid pappilary tissues, but was significantly overexpressed in 90%of thyroid pappilary carcinoma tissues. The expression of cyclineD1 protein show the similarly trend.②The overexpress of BP1 protein was related with the surgical pathological stage, pathological grade, and pathological subtype(P0.05),but was not related to patients'age, lymphatic metastasis and infiltration depth(P0.05).Conclusions Overexpress of BP1 protein is a frequent event in thyroid pappilary carcinogenesis, which may play an important role in the malignant progression and prognosis of thyroid pappilary carcinoma.
