Title: Diagosis Value of Prostate Masses with Transrectal SonoCT Ultrasound Imaging
Abstract: Objective To evaluate the diagosis value of prostate masses with transrectal SonoCT ultrasound imaging. Methods 58 patients with prostate masses were detected using transrectal SonoCT ultrasound imaging and convertional ultrasound. The characteristics of masses were observed, including size, shape, borders, internal echo, etal. Results 116 nodes were detected in 58 patients by SonoCT ultrasound, including 48 of 0.5 cm,59 of(0.5~1.0)cm and 9 of(1.0~1.5)cm,79 nodes were found in entire payients by convertional ultrasound;including 17 of 0.5 cm,53 of(0.5~1.0)cm and 9 of(1.0~1.5)cm,the detected rate of 0.5 cm nodes by transrectal SonoCT ultrasound imaging was significant higher than convertional ultrasound(41.4% vs 21.5%,P0.05):.Compared with conventional ultrasound, the speckles and artifacts of images were significantly reduced while the contract resolution of images were improved with SonoCT ultrasound imaging.Acoustic shadows of later alboundaries were completely suppressed by SonoCT in prostate masses.Smaller malignant lesions in the prostate would be detected with SonoCT.Conclusions The image quality was significantly improved and the detection rate of prostate masse was increased with transrectal SonoCT ultrasound imaging.
