Title: The Value of High Resolution Spiral CT in Differentiation of Pulmonary Nodules
Abstract: Objective The purpose of this study was to evaluate the value of high resolution spiral CT in differentiation of solitary pulmonary nodules (SPN). Methods 35 patients with pulmonary nodules (diameter is approximately 2.5cm) were examined with spiral CT and HRCT before operation. The location, size, edge and texture of the lesions were recorded and analyzed. All cases were confirmed by surgery and pathology. Results Contrasting to conventional spiral CT,the sensitivity of HRCT in demonstrating the characteristic signs (such as the edge and texture of those nodules) is above 90%. Conclusion HRCT has great value in differentiation of pulmonary nodules. [
