Title: Evaluation of isolated pulmonary nodules:a comparison of HRCT with conventional CT
Abstract: Objective:To evaluate conventio na l CT and high-resolution CT (HRCT) finding of solitary pulmonary nodules (SPN).Methods:HRCT of the region of interest was perf ormed in 35 patients (36 SPN) with pathologically-proved SPN after routine CT s canning. The difference between conventional CT and HRCT in detecting the shap,st ructure, morphology and the adjacent pleura of SPN were compared. Results:HRCT can fully display the subtle struc ture of SPN,including:①calcification;②fat;③change of density;④cavity;⑤necro sis. Conclusion:HRCT is superior than coventional CT in dedetecting the structure, morphology of SPN.HRCT is an important method for differentiation of benign SPN with malignant lesions.
