Title: Clinical observation research of different doses of letrozole on ovulation induction in infertile women with polycystic ovary syndrome
Abstract: Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy of different doses of letrozole on ovulation induction in infertile women with polycystic ovary syndrome and the influence on reproductive hormone levels. Methods:120 cases of infertility patients with polycystic ovary syndrome were selected and randomly divided into two groups,60 cases in each group. Low-dose group was given oral letrozole 2.5mg/d,and high-dose group was given oral letrozole 5.0mg/d. The follicle diameter and endometrial thickness were monitored by the transvaginal ultrasound. The women took estradiol valerate when the endometrial was thin. When the diameter of the biggest follicle reached 18 mm,10000 IU human chorionic gonadotrophin(HCG)was injected to trigger ovulation. The dominant follicles number, mature follicle, ovulation rate, endometrial thickness and serum reproductive hormone levels of two groups were observed. Results:The differences on endometrial thickness at follicular phase,HCG injection day,and luteal phase, and A type endometrial incidence rate of two groups were not significant(P0.05);Dominant follicle number, ovulation, and pregnancy rate at HCG injection day of high-dose group were significantly higher than the low-dose group(P0.05);Follicle growth time of high-dose group was significantly longer than low-dose group(P0.05);The differences on serum reproductive hormone levels, ovulation rate, and spontaneous abortion rate of two groups were not significant(P0.05). Conclusion:For Infertility patients with polycystic ovary syndrome,5.0mg/d dose of letrozole has obviously effect for ovulation induction.
