Abstract: Iconicity has been one of the focus topics of cognitive linguistics at home and abroad,but the iconicity in the discourse of advertising English has been slightly touched upon so far.The iconicity of advertising English is mainly manifested in sound iconicity,quantity iconicity,order iconicity and symmetric iconicity.The effectiveness of advertising can be greatly increased through the proper employment of iconicity theory.
