Title: SIMPLIFIED CALCULATION OF HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER IN PLATE EVAPORATIVE CONDENSER
Abstract: Plate evaporative condensers were developed on the base of evaporative condenser and plate heat exchanger,and had the benefits of both of them.In this paper,a simplified model was developed to calculate the temperature and evaporation characteristics at the water-air interface,and then the primary influence factors of plate evaporative condenser were analyzed.The results show that a smaller interfacial temperature and a higher evaporated mass flux can result for a higher air velocity which enhanced the heat transfer.When the relative humidity kept constant and air temperature increased,the evaporation decreased thereupon while the interfacial temperature increased linearly.
