Title: Burning low-quality gasification coal in boilers of 300 MW units
Abstract: The combustion of low-quality coal in thermal power plants presents a number of problems. Such problems as ash wear and erosion of heating surfaces, slagging of the combustion chamber, increased fly ash outputs, and increased maintenance must be dealt with. The effect of coal quality on the economical operation of 300 MW power plants is discussed. Methods for overcoming some of the disadvantages of burning low-quality coal are presented.
