Title: Continuous feeding of coal to pressurized systems
Abstract: This article describes a system which prevents gas backflow from the gasifier, simplifies feeding control by automation, and is capable of economically feeding large coal rates at pressures to 1,500 psig (10.4 MPa). The environment and working conditions improve since there is no coal dust or noxious gas emissions. Power consumption is low, and the coal-feeding system is adaptable to other types of gasifier and liquefaction processes.
