Title: Persistence of Carbaryl Residues in Silty-Loam Soil of Meghalaya
Abstract: Soil application of Carbaryl 5 per cent dust @ 100g, 200g, and 300g per tree of orange had resulted in the average deposit of 43.56, 75.23 and 124.86 ppm respectively. These deposits got dissipated to the extent of 97.71 to 100 per cent within 50 days of treatment. The half life values varied from 0.85 day to 2.59 days. Carbaryl was not found to be translocated from treated soil to the foliage of orange trees.
