This process incorporates traditional ITS tools like architecture into an integrated and dynamic cycle with spatial information systems and web-based tools. Two key new developments have been instrumental in making this possible. First is the Wisconsin Traffic Operations Infrastructure Plan, folding data-driven ITS and communications deployment recommendations into planning processes.
