Title: The role of image and social motives in the new verse
Abstract: The new verse is one of the most important problems of research in reference to the poetry written in Persian; its history in Tajikistan is rich. The new Tajik verse begins yet at the end of the XIX-th century and in the XX-th century it is confirmed in the creation of S.Aini, A.Lakhuti, Payrav Sulaymoni, M.Rakhimi, Kh.Yusuf and others. An image takes the first place in the new-poetry, it serves as a main distinction from the old poetic forms, except being a formal peculiarity it is a way of creating an image. Analyzing the problem of social aspect entering poetry and its influence upon poetic forms the author comes to the conclusion that social initiation has its concrete place both in traditional and new poetic forms. In author's opinion, the development of the new verse is connected with the following factors: 1.obviation of aruz metrical laws; 2.alteration of rhyme rules; 3. enlargement of imagery potentialities; 4. usage of a new vocabulary in the new verse. Special attention in the article is paid to the problem of imaginative features in social poetry.
