Title: Axial length measurements and IOL power calculations in microphthalmic eyes
Abstract: The two eyes of 58 year old man with microphthalmia measured 16.4 mm, requiring a 41.5 diopter lens for emmetropia. The right eye was pseudophakic with a 21.5 diopter posterior chamber lens in place, that has resulted in a 20.00 diopter error. This was due to an erroneous measurement of the axial length and the use of a regression formula.
