Abstract: This article profiles FastTracks, Denver's $4.7 billion program to expand light rail, bus rapid transit and commuter transit, and the biggest initiative of its kind in the country. The article lists details of the 119-mile rail build out and provides a diagram of the city with new lines. The sales tax based structure of the financing involved is described. A schedule for possible openings of lines in 2013 is included. Further analysis of each particular corridor's financing structure and project specifics are also provided.
