Abstract: Les contributions de ce volume esquissent les figures des imprimeurs, protes et libraires qui fabriquent les livres et les rendent identifiables par les acheteurs et les lecteurs du XVIe siècle. Qu’ils affrontent la censure ou soient confrontés à des pénuries de papier, en pleine prospérité ou au bord de la faillite, ils développent des stratégies éditoriales qui leur permettent de diversifier et d’élargir leur lectorat.
