Title: Barbatuques em cena: elementos cênicos presentes nas composições e nos jogos musicais corporais do Grupo Barbatuques
Abstract: Stenio Mendes, researcher and musical alchemist whose meeting and partnership with Barba was of fundamental importance, not only for the creation of the group, but also in the improvement and consolidation of this still expanding language.Next, a reflection will be proposed between these principles and the solar and lunar concept, developed by the author.The second chapter begins by presenting, in a summarized way and in chronological order, the artistic trajectory of Barbatuques, through the CDs and DVDs released, in parallel with the various shows performed during its almost thirty years of existence, with the purpose of indicating some of the musical, pedagogical and scenic elements contained in its various shows.Finally, in order to confirm these elements, the Barbatuquices show, conceived and premiered in 2016, was chosen to be deepened and detailed, demonstrating the possible dialogues between scene and music, in addition to highlighting the principles of Barba and Stenio through the concept solar and lunar.With that, the main objective of this doctoral thesis is to verify how the staging and scenic elements are naturally present in the compositions and in the body musical games developed by the group in the construction of their shows, proposing a reflective analysis on how the body musical action is also constituted of important singularities and scenic pluralities.
