Title: Ortaokul Öğrencilerinde Dijital Oyun Bağımlılığının Bazı Değişkenler Açısından İncelenmesi
Abstract: The research is a survey survey model, and it was conducted with the aim of "examining the digital game addictions of secondary school students in terms of some variables".The population of the research consists of middle school students in the Ağlasun district of Burdur province, and the sample group consists of 216 students determined by simple random method based on at least 20% of the total students studying at schools.In the research, the data were obtained by the descriptive part of the literature review and the data in the field was obtained by the survey method.The Digital Game Addiction (DOB-7) scale developed by Lemmens, Walkenburg and Peter ( 2009) and adapted into Turkish by Irmak and Erdoğan (2015) was used as a questionnaire.After the researcher gave information about the subject, the questionnaires were filled in on a voluntary basis by a total of 216 participants, 104 men and 112 women.The obtained data were transferred to the appropriate statistical program for statistical processing.Descriptive statistics, frequency (f), percentage (%), Descriptive, Mann-Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis tests were applied to determine the differences between variables.According to the data obtained within the scope of the research, although the digital game addiction levels of the participants are not high in general, their game addiction is at a "moderate" level, they play the games between 1-3 hours a day and with smart phones and tablets, as the type of game, women are more likely to be compared to men.We can say that men play racing and sports games and online role-playing games compared to women.
