Abstract: The use of secondary surface plate-and-corrugation heat exchangers is well established for aircraft applications because their compact form and low weight are ideally suited. The design and construction of a heat exchanger of this type are presented in connection with low-temperance heat transfer. Illustrations of the design and possible arrangements of the surfaces are included. Heat transfer characteristics and a range of applications to low- temperature processes are asserted in the discussion. (B.O.G.)
