Monetary and tangible assets are the hard assets used to make, use, and sell products and services based on intellectual property (IP). Intangible assets can be categorized as: rights, relationships, goodwill and going concern, and specialized and unique. Every business enterprise acquires rights through establishing contractual agreements with other businesses, individuals, or governmental bodies. Every business establishes relationships internally and externally with outside agencies, other companies, and other individuals. Going concern value has been defined as the additional element of value that attaches to property because of its existence as part of a going concern.
