Title: El contrato al escultor Gio. Maria Augustallo del sepulcro genovés de los primeros marqueses de Aitona en la Seu Vella de Lérida (1606): el contexto, el dibujo y las cláusulas
Abstract: La presente investigación confirma que el sepulcro de mármol encargado al escultor Gio. Maria Augustallo el 21 de octubre de 1606 en Génova por Gastón de Moncada, segundo marqués de Aitona, a través de Juan Vivas de Cañamás, embajador del rey Felipe III en esta ciudad, es el conservado parcialmente en la capilla de los Moncada o de San Pedro de la Seu Vella de Lérida. Este monumento funerario sirvió de enterramiento a los primeros marqueses de Aitona: Francisco de Moncada, virrey de Valencia en tiempos de Felipe II, y Lucrecia Gralla Desplà y de Moncada. Para corroborar esta hipótesis, se publica por primera vez el dibujo del sepulcro adjunto al contrato y se estudian otros documentos de archivo, como el último testamento del primer marqués de Aitona. Por último, se dan a conocer numerosas noticias sobre el contexto artístico genovés y valenciano previo y posterior al contrato de la obra: la embajada de Vivas de Cañamás y el virreinato de Francisco de Moncada.
