Title: Self-assembled DNA structures for nanofabrication
Abstract: DNA nanotechnology research has flourished due to the immense programmability of DNA and its compatibility with a wide range of materials. This unique ability allows DNA to be turned into a template for either the growth or adsorption of functionalized nanoparticles or as a mask in various lithographic processes. DNA nanostructure has therefore become a promising material in many fields such as photonics, sensing, and nanoelectronics. This article will review recent progresses of DNA nanotechnology in nanofabrication, which is a key enabling technology for these applications. We will end the article with a brief comment on the remaining challenges and future research directions to address them.
