Title: Innate immune response in bovine tuberculosis.
Abstract: This book chapter discusses the components of the innate immune response involved in Mycobacterium bovis infection such as pathogen recognition receptors (PRRs); cells of the innate immune system; inflammasomes; and autophagy and apoptosis process. The importance of innate immunity in natural resistance to bovine tuberculosis in cattle is also highlighted.
