Title: Flow Stress Behavior of a New High Strength Al-Zn-Mg-Cu Alloy during Hot Compression Deformation
Abstract: Hot compression tests of a new Al-Zn-Mg-Cu high strength alloy were carried out by thermal-mechanical simulation. The flow stress was studied at the temperature of 300~450℃,strain rates of 0.001~1s-1 and the reduction of 50%.The results show that both the temperature and strain rate have remarkable effects on the flow stress during hot deformation. The flow stress decreases with the increasing temperature and increases with the increasing strain rates. The constitutive equation of the alloy is obtained. The activation energy of the alloy is 169.92kJ/mol.
