Title: Studies on the nutrictional physiology of Pleurotus eryngii
Abstract: 【Objective】 The study was made to investigate the nutrictional physiological character of Pleurotus eryngii.【Method】 The size of colony and surface mycelium growth vigor were used to assess the effects of various carbon and nitrogen sources, and effects of carbon sources, mineral elements, vitamins and phytohomones on growth of P.eryngii were studied with P.eryngii XBG-01 as the test material.【Result】 Fructose, glucose and mannose were the top three best carbon sources for mycelial growth.Fructose was the most utilized, followed by glucose and mannose. All the organic and inorganic sources investigated improved growth with peptone being the best, followed by malt flour and yeast extract paste.1.0 g/L Magnesium sulfate and monopotassium phosphate,6 mg/L vitamin B2 and nicotinic acid promoted good mycelial growth.Among the phytohormones tested,8 mg/L IAA and KT stimulated mycelial growth.【Conclusion】 The growth of P.eryngii was significantly affected by various carbon, nitrogen sources and supplementation of mineral elements, vitamins and phytohomones enhanced the growth of P.eryngii.
