Title: EPIDEMIOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF OUTBREAKS OF COMMUNICABLE DISEASES FROM 2004 TO 2008 IN JIANGDU COUNTY
Abstract: [Objective] To study epidemiological characteristics of communicable diseases between 2004-2008 in Jiang-du. [Methods] Used Excel to analyze and investigate the data from the national information management system of public health emergencies between 2004-2008 [Results] Between 2004-2008,Jiangdu reported a total of 28 cases of public health emergencies,of which 25 cases were communicable diseases,with 3 170 patients; most of them were chicken pox and influenza. Between the incidences of diseases,there was a significant difference (P﹤0.05). Different diseases last different durations. They occurred mainly between February-May,October-December; 63.64% of the cases were reported after the epidemic peak. [Conclusion] The public health emergency management should focus on the prevention and treatment of communicable diseases in school region; delayed report is the weak point that needs to be avoided now.
