To investigate the expression and significance of p57kip-2 and HSP90α protein in prostate cancer, and study the relationship between the clinical biological behavior and pathology.
Methods
The protein expressions of p57kip-2 and HSP90α were detected in 51 cases of prostate cancer and 51 cases of normal prostate tissue with S-P immunohistochemical method, integrating with the following up data were analyzed.
Results
Compared with normal prostate tissue, p57kip-2 were low expressed and HSP90α were highly expressed in prostate cancer(P 0.05); There was significant difference in the p57kip-2 and HSP90α expression rate between with and without recurrence groups (P<0.05). pt7kip-2 protein was negatively correlated with HSP90α protein (r=-0.627, P<0.01).
Conclusions
The expressions of p57kip-2 and HSP90α protein may be related to malignant degree and prognosis of prostate cancer. Determination of p57kip-2 and HSP90α protein might be of great significance in the diagnosis of benign and malignant degree and prognosis of prostate cancer.
