Abstract:Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) is closely related to the occurrence of lung cancer.As the treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer reached the level of molecular biology, the relation...Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) is closely related to the occurrence of lung cancer.As the treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer reached the level of molecular biology, the relationship of EGFR with lung cancer bacame clear, EGFR-tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) was developed to treat lung cancer.Most of the patients received EGFR-TKI first-line treatment have acquired drug resistance, and the mechanism is mainly EGFR gene with resistance mutation.The traditional detection method for this mutation is tissue biopsy.There are some limitations in tissue biopsy.Compared with that, liquid biopsies such as circulating tumor cells, cell free DNA, circulating tumor DNA and so on have attracted much attention in recent years due to their advantages of minimal invasion, conveniency, repeatability, and reducing tumor heterogeneity.This paper reviews the detection of EGFR-T790M mutation in circulation tumor DNA in patients with lung cancer for TKI aquired resistance.
