Title: A comparative study on the effect of open family nursing on the quality of life in depression inpatients
Abstract: Objective To explore the effects of open family nursing on quality of life in depression inpatients.Methods Totally 110 inpatients with depression were randomly divided into experimental group and control group.Each group had 55 cases. These two groups were treated with routine drugs of anti-depression,at the same time,the patients of the experimental group were nursed with open family nursing model and the control group with routine nursing medel.All the subjects were evaluated with rating scale for quality of life (QOL- 100) at the time of permitting and after 8 weeks of treatment.Results At the time of permitting,the total score and factors scores of QOL- 100 between the two groups showed no statistics significance (P>0.05).But, after 8 weeks of treatment, the patients of experimental group showed superior to the control group in total score of QOL- 100 and factors, score in life, psychology,independence,the fields of social relation and environment(P<0.01). Conclusions Open family nursing model could obviously improved depression patients? Quality of life.It's helpful for patients to return to society earlier.
