Title: The efficacy of trabeculectomy in the treatment of acute angle-closure glaucoma under high intraocular pressure
Abstract: Objective
To observe the efficacy of trabeculectomy for the treatment of acute angle-closure glaucoma under high intraocular pressure.
Methods
From March 2014 to June 2015, 52 eyes of 45 cases with acute angle-closure glaucoma were collected and underwent trabeculectomy under high intraocular pressure. The follow-up time was 12 months. The therapeutic effect was observed.
Results
After operation, the visual acuity and intraocular pressure were significantly optimized. The difference was statistically significant between before and after surgery (P=0.000).
Conclusion
The efficacy of trabeculectomy under high intraocular pressure for the treatment of acute angle-closure glaucoma is remarkable.It can prevent visual impairment.
