Title: Pediatric outpatient prescriptions at our hospital
Abstract: Objective To explore the medication situation of pediatric outpatient prescriptions at our hospital and to promote the rational drug use.Methods 6000 electronic prescriptions for children who visited pediatric clinics at our hospital from July,2012 to June,2013 were randomly selected from the electronic prescriptions database.Rational drug use items were classified and assessed integratively.Results Average 5.3 kinds of drugs was used in per prescription.The average prescription charge was 61.7 yuan.60.5% drugs were used through injection.Antibacterials took account 53.6% and glucocorticosteroid 27.4%.Conclusions The medication of pediatric outpatient prescriptions is relatively reasonable,although there are still some problems.The pharmacy department of the hospital should intensify propaganda and education concerning drug use and deepen the understanding of drug-using safety for both pediatricians and the parents of pediatric patients.
