Abstract: Objective To explore a comparatively effective clinical therapy for children with faciocervical bum.Methods 108 children with faciocervical burn hospitalized into our hospital form March,2009 to May,2013 were divided into a treatment group (56 cases) and a control group (52 cases).The treatment group took MEBO.Their recovery information,inflammatory reaction during the treatment,and analgesic effect were observed.The control group were treated with SD-Ag.Results There was no statistical difference in the amount of bacteria attaching to the bums during medication between the treatment group and the control group.The analgesic effect was markedly better in the treatment group than in the control group.17.8% cases of the treatment group and 72.3% cases of the control group had pain.The recovery time was shorter in the treatment group than in the control group,with a average period of (3.55--0.7) days and a statistical difference (P < 0.05).Conclusion MEBO is the reliable medication for external use in treating children with faciocervical burn.
