Abstract:The relation between rice drought-resistance and its ability to resist water-escaping and aging, free proline, and soluble sugar was studied at the stages of heading and filling in the drought conditi...The relation between rice drought-resistance and its ability to resist water-escaping and aging, free proline, and soluble sugar was studied at the stages of heading and filling in the drought condition with soil water content fo about 17.5%. The results showed that drought-resistant rice varieties showed more strongly resisting water-escaping and aging than the less drought-resistant one. The free proline and soluble sugar of rice leaf increase for those drought-resistant varieties in drought condition, but decrease for the less drought-resistant one.Read More
