The C. versicolor (Kawaratake) contained B-Glucan and Glycoprotein that gave many pharmacological effects: Antitumorigenic Breast, Alimentary canal and Pulmonal Cancer. Reported here was the attempt to cultivar C. versicolor in Thailand. The mycelia of C. versicolor was cultured in Potato Dextrose Agar media. The sawdust substrate was used for cultivation of this mushroom. The mycelia were grown at 35 deg. celsius humidity 45 % for 15 days and the fruiting bodies were formed at 20 deg. celsius humidity 85 % within 10 days. First cultivation was done in 28 days with yield 24 gram per kilogram of substrate. It took 30 days for second incubation and next cultivation was done in 70 days with yield 27 gram per kilogram of sawdust. The last incubation was 130 days and 28 gram per kilogram of substrate can be cultivated. The extraction and isolation of active chemical components are in progress.Read More
