Title: Bibliometric Study of the Journal of Documentation from 2005 to 2015
Abstract: This study reveals the bibliometric and citation analysis of the Journal of Documentation from 2005 to 2015. The study covers the growth of literature and authorship patterns, geographical productivity in scholarly publications, lengthwise distribution of articles, subject-wise distribution of articles and ranking pattern. This study also reveals the publication pattern of the articles published for the period 2005–2015 of the Journal of Documentation. A total of 495 articles were published in the journal during 11 years. The highest (12.72%) of articles were published in 2015. This journal contains 24, 209 references for the study period of which 9, 911 (40.94%) are p-citations and 14, 299 (59.16%) are e-citations. Every volume published had almost 45 articles and each article has an average of 20 p-references and 28 e-citations. It was found that single author citation contribution (56.12%) is more than others. Necessary bibliometric measures are applied to analyse different publication parameters. In all, 495 articles are published with an average 45 articles each year.
