Title: Effects of Irrigation and Potassium Rate on Dry Matter Accumulation in and Nutrient Uptake of Flue-cured Tobacco
Abstract: A field experiment was conducted to study the effects of irrigation and potassium rate on dry matter accumulation in and nutrient uptake of flue-cured tobacco. The results showed that either potassium rate or irrigation could improve dry matter accumulation and nutrients uptake, and significantly increase the concentration of nitrogen and potassium in leaves.Irrigation promoted dry matter accumulation and phosphorus uptake more obviously than did potassium rate, while potassium rate increased the uptake of nitrogen and potassium more significantly than did irrigation. The couple of water and potassium showed some positive interaction effects on dry matter accumulation and nutrient uptake.
