Title: Interference signal analysis for leak detection in long-distance transmitting mineral slurry pipeline
Abstract: Currently, the method of leak detection and location, which is based on real-time transient modeling, is now taking obtained pressure and flow rate values at both ends of the pipeline as the boundary conditions, to establish the real-time transient model to detect the changes of the real pressure and water flow rate. Due to the mineral slurry pipeline leakage caused by negative pressure wave, it will propagate to the leak monitoring of upstream and downstream of the leak point, which will make the pressure signal of the point mutation, and pressure of pipeline, pump, valve action and other pipeline failure interference signal change the point of pressure signal. It is very easy to cause the false alarm of the leakage diagnosis, so it is very important to get the accurate extraction of the pressure and flow signals. Based on the detailed theoretical analysis and specific test analysis in laboratory conditions, this paper well contrasts the analysis of mineral slurry pipeline that occurs before and after the leakage, which is caused by the upstream and downstream at both ends of the pressure, pressure flow waveform changes and under normal operating conditions, pump, valve action and other pipe fault, such as caused by the changes. Therefore, the identification ability of the leak detection system can be further improved, so can the accuracy of the detection method based on the real-time transient model and the accuracy of the position.
