Abstract:In this paper,the leakage experiments of unburied and buried water pipelines are introduced.During the experiments,three pipelines are pulled out at different displacements.The phenomena of the experi...In this paper,the leakage experiments of unburied and buried water pipelines are introduced.During the experiments,three pipelines are pulled out at different displacements.The phenomena of the experiments are recorded and the leakage flow is measured.Based on the experiments,a relationship between leakage flow and time is described.Moreover,it is found that the leakage flow of buried pipelines is smaller than that of unburied pipelines because of the impediment of the soil.Meanwhile,two regression equations between leakage flow and joint displacement are given for unburied and buried pipelines.Moreover,the leakage coefficient in a leakage model is calculated using the experimental data.It is suggested that the leakage coefficients of unburied and buried pipelines take the value of 2.19×10-4 and 1.80×10-4 respectively.Read More
