The clinical findings include erythema chr...In the light of an observation of a patient with Lyme arthritis living near the Swiss-German border, the authors describe "Lyme or erythema migrans disease". The clinical findings include erythema chronicum migrans, meningoradiculitis and arthritis, and, occasionally, carditis. Also, it has recently become possible to describe this entity serologically, by detection of antibodies against the etiologically responsible spirochetes, which are usually transmitted by tick bites. This diagnostic procedure can also be expected to provide a better overview of the incidence of Lyme arthritis in our region.Read More
