Title: Study on Liquid Flooding of Countercurrent Rotating Packed Bed
Abstract: Liquid flooding of air-water system was studied in rotating packed bed using waved-form disk plate in which gas and liquid were under countercurrent.The effect of gas flux, liquid flux and rotating speed on liquid flooding of countercurrent rotating packed bed was analyzed qualitatively. The experimental results showed that the more liquid flux, gas flux and rotating speed, the less normal work scope was in the countercurrent rotating packed bed, that liquid flooding appeared in the area between liquid sprayer and interior diameter of packed bed, that the main form of liquid flooding was the liquid phase being carried by gas phase and that when the process was changed from normal work scope to liquid flooding, both the pressure drop of gas phase and the carried liquid quantity were continuously increased, which is different from that in those traditional packed bed.
