Title: The Effect of Tooth Root Transition Curve for Involute Gears on Root Stress
Abstract: Based on the mathematical model of of involute gear tooth profile at any rotary angle,the stress calculation mathematical model of any point on the root by broken-line section method were constructed,the calculateing formula were putted forward for the curvature radius of involute gear transition curve,and the accuracy of the formula for curvature radius is validated.Using the stress calculation mathematical model,the influence of curvature radius on root stress with different parameter were analyzed and discussed.The result will offer reference data for design of involute gear and optimization of parameter choice,and also new mathematical model for numerical analysis on root stress.
