Title: An Analytic Calculation Method for the Tooth Root Bending Stress of Asymmetric Plastic Gear
Abstract: The tooth root bending stress of asymmetric involute plastic gear was calculated by analytic method.The analytical expression of contact ratio coefficient was deduced according to Nicmann experimental curve,and the formulas of distance from gear tip to each characteristic meshing points were proposed.Tooth root bending stress of these points were calculated by an example to verify that the loading capacity of asymmetric plastic gear is higher than the symmetric one.
