Title: Clinical Observations on the Treatment of Bronchial Asthma by a Combined Acupuncture Methods
Abstract: Purpose To investigate the effect of a combined acupuncture treatment on bronchial asthma. Method Forty patients with bronchial asthma were treated by combined body acupuncture, auricular-plaster therapy and acupoint injection. Simple body acupuncture and Chinese medicine groups were established as controls. A difference in curative effect were investigated among the 3 groups. Results The total effective rate was 95.00% in the combined treatment group, 80.56% in the body acupuncture group and 73.68% in the Chinese medicine group. There was a significant difference in curative effect among the 3 groups (P0.05). Conclusion The curative effect in the combined treatment group is superior to those in the body acupuncture and Chinese medicine groups.
