Title: Clinical Efficacy Observation of the Adjuvant Therapy in the Treatment of Nephrotic Syndrome with Chinese Medicine
Abstract: Objective To observe the clinical efficacy on nephrotic syndrome with adjuvant therapy of Chinese medicine. Methods Seventy- four cases of primary nephrotic syndrome were randomized into a control group and a treatment group,37 cases in each one. The basic treatment with hormone and cytotoxin was applied in the two groups. In the treatment group,Safflower Injection and Liuwei Dihuang Pills were added for 3 months. The sickness condition and adverse reactions were observed. Kidney function and indexes of blood rheology, blood lipid and immunity were recorded before and after treatment. Results Every index was improved after treatment in the two groups and the improvements in the treatment group were better than those in the control group. The differences in the treatment group were significant as compared with the control group after treatment in 24 h urine protein, blood urea nitrogen, serum creatinine, whole blood viscosity, plasma viscosity, fibrinogen, total cholesterol, triacylglycerol and IgM( P 0. 05). Conclusion The adjuvant therapy with Safflower Injection and Liuwei Dihuang Pills improves remarkably the states of blood coagulation and hyperlipidemia, reduces urine protein and improves immunity in the patients of nephrotic syndrome. It achieves the good adjuvant effect on nephrotic syndrome besides the treatment with western medicine.
